In the beginning...
...they were just words . User. Experience. So I thought “Well, I’m a user, and I have experience; this will be easy!”
But if you’re here now, reading my portfolio, you know both how right and how wrong I was.
I like to give credit where credit is due. Therefore, I believe in celebrating the journey that introduced me to in’s &
out’s of the UX Design world. This is my first act, my first UX Design project that I tackled in boot camp. A word of
caution though, this case study goes into details, therefore...feel free to skip it and go straight ahead and check out
my first client case study. So...hiring managers, I know you have a lot on your plate so feel free to jump ahead & we’ll
save this for our future conversation.
Act 1: A 'Sticky' Start
Client: General Assembly Boot Camp
Project: Online E-commerce Redesign
Role: UX Researcher & Designer
Work scope: 2 Weeks, Solo Project
For the first act, marvel as I discovered all the different approaches & methodologies in UX Design and try to
use them all at the same time! Research! Tension! Surveys! Comedy! Assumptions! Tomfoolery! Prototypes! Failure!
Suspense...
... dramatic pause...
...and ultimately SUCCESS - in the form of a content audit!
Uunnhh, so stressful, but so good! I think I’m going to like this sh*t! Wink!
